Can a girl who carries the HPV virus transfer it to me through her giving me oral? DESPERATE! HELP!?

A girl recently gave me oral (went down on me) who says she carries the HPV virus. She was not having an outbreak at the time and hasn't had one in 4 years.

I have no symptoms of being affected by any sort of STD and was not prompted to post because of symptoms.

My question is, what are the chances that i picked it up from her? And what are my chances of passing it on to someone else, and if i do, will that person remain symptom-free as i have?

You cannot get that from recieving oral sex. The disease exists in her vagina.
If you know someone has a STD, don't mess around with them then.
BTW more than 60% of the population have HPV.

"Genital HPV is passed on through genital contact, most often during vaginal and anal sex. A person can have HPV even if years have passed since he or she had sex. Most infected persons do not realize they are infected or that they are passing the virus to a sex partner.

Very rarely, a pregnant woman with genital HPV can pass HPV to her baby during vaginal delivery. In these cases, the child may develop warts in the throat or voice box 鈥?a condition called recurrent respiratory papillomatosis (RRP)."

LOOK AT THE WEBSITES BELOW TOO!!! I really highly doubt you have HPV. Men can't get cervical cancer so unless she had the strain that caused genital warts and she somehow got them in her mouth (which you usually would notice if she had them in her mouth), you're not going to get it. You can go to the doctor and get tested though, but I think you're safe. Hope this helps!!!

You don't know for sure that you haven't picked up the virus as well, sweetheart. Chances are high that you did get it, I'm not really sure about the percentage. But it is possible to get an STD through oral sex. It actually depends if you used a condom or not, if you used a condom your chances of getting her infection or disease are lower. Even if you have no symptoms, I wouldn't take any chances hun. Just go and get checked out by a doctor - that's the only way you'll for sure know 100%. It's best to do it before, rather than later so you don't spread the disease any more. Good luck sweetheart.

If all she did was give you oral, then it unlikely you will have it because from what i know up to now, STD's are rarly transmitted through saliva.
