If a girl has hpv and has only had one sex partner, then does he have to be the one that gave it to her? |
can they pass it back and forth, will it ever go away, or once she gets rid of it, does she get it again because of him still having it? is it something that she will want to get checked more than her annual check up? Unless she came into contract with someone else's genitals then yes, she got it from him. They will both have it, HPV does not go away. People can develop resistances to it but they will always have it. Yes, she should go to the gyno and get a pap smear every year in case the strain is one of the cancer ones. It's a virus it will never go away but you may not experience signs or symptoms of it ever or they may come and go so it is important to see your ob/gyn yearly. If she only had one sex partner he probably gave it to her whether he knew he had it or not. As long as she keeps up on her yearly pap smears theres nothing really to be more concerned about. |
