Do you think its possible I have HPV?/ I have been experiencing symptoms for over a year.?

Since last year I have been getting pains at night in the vaginal area. And within the next day or so a bump would appear. The bump doesn't hurt really and is kind of moist around it. Of course its flesh colored. They go away and within a few days the process repeats. I also experience severe itching. I haven't told my mother because I'm afraid she may think I'm having sex but I am a virgin. What do you think?

the closes thing to sexual contact i've had is a kiss on the lips.

If you are genuine about the limits of your sexual experience HPV can be ruled out. You do not need vaginal penetration to catch HPV though, it is very infective and not even condoms help much.

If you live in a country that can access it the HPV vaccine is a great thing and you should get it now - before you start having sex.

Can you see a doctor without your mum finding out ? Do you have a sympathetic aunt that will believe that you are still a virgin and take you to the doctor ? At worst, I would talk to your mum and if she does not believe you the doctor can confirm that you have not had penetrative sex.

If it is not really worrying you try to use talc to stay a little dryer. It may just be pimples.

you can definitely get HPV from non-penetrative sexual conduct. if you have done anything sexual with someone else, HPV is a real possibility.
