Is there any way to cure/get rid of HPV? |
I'm 18 years old and I was just told yesterday that I probably have the HPV virus. I have a good idea where it came from, but I'm terrified of what this could mean for me down the road. About 30 of the 100 HPV types are transmitted sexually. This HPV transmission can cause genital warts or abnormal cell changes in the cervix and other genital areas that can lead to cancer. There is no cure for HPV. They are many treatments. Most people do build immunity to their acquired HPV type. |
