I was 38 years old when I found out I had HPV.? |
I was told in December of 2006 and in March of 2007 I had leep surgery. I've been with my one partner, but I can't say the same for him, and most of the time condoms were used. Since after my first leep I have had colopy and I have had normal pap but still HPV present. I had to have leep surgery again for the second time June 2008. I just hope that everything turns out okay. I do realize that the HPV will still be present, but just hoping for no Abnormal cells. This virus really scares me, and I just want to live for my son. As long as they tell you that the cells are not cancerous, You should be okay. I found out that I had it six years ago when i was 21. Yeah I must say that when I left home to join the Army i got a little "out there" for a short period of time. So when I found out that i had it I was so scared and disappointed in myself.I was raised better than that. I read more up on it and found out that it could cause cervical cancer. I know that it will always be present in my body. I make sure I get my pap done every year so that even if it because cancerous It will be caught in time. Don't worry. You'll be fine and God will be with you and your son. (if you don't beleve in God then my apologies) |
