How is the HPV shot billed? Is it billed per shot or is it billed when the series is completed?

I recently changed jobs and less than 2 weeks after I left my old work I had the third shot. I called my insurance (Kaiser) numerous times to confirm that my coverage was valid before I went to have the shot. A few days later I received a letter stating that my insurance ended prior to the shot and then I received a bill for the full series of vaccinations. I don鈥檛 mind paying for the shot that occurred after my insurance ended, but should I be billed for the whole series?

This is something that you'd have to ask the heath care provider.. There is no way for us to know how they bill a series of shots.
