Not A Question: HPV Success Story?

This is not a question, its just my HPV story that I feel should be shared with other women with HPV women that are worried or scared. I have had HPV for 20 years!!!

Last year was the first time my HPV status went from mild to High. I was so afraid, I cried all the time and I just prepared for death...boy was I tripping.

In August 2007 I had a copolscopy (one of many over the years) and a biopsy. They came back positive for abnormal cells but no actual cancer cells. In November '07 I had the LEEP procedure-they actually scoop out the bad part of your cervix (hopefully taking all the bad cells with it) The cervix builds new (hopefully) healthy cells and that procedure is followed by a pap smear.

Ladies I am thrilled to tell you all that it has been 6months now and I am HPV free. There are NO abnormalities. I am told to come back next year to be checked again.

If you have HPV do NOT give up. Do your research and be well. I hope my story helped someone...Be well.

To Denying Destiny...YES you can have children while infected. All 4 of my sons were born while I had HPV. They are now 20,18, 16, and 10 this year. There we're no complications getting pregnant, carrying or delivering them. I NEVER had to take any medication for my HPV..just the procedures mentioned.

I love those types of stories when I found out I had hpv I was so scared but now its nothing to me....Its a bump in the road. I'm a better and safer person for it. Hpv is not the end but the beginning of a healthier safer more aware life. I'm thankful I had hpv 2 of my friend got something more life changing and permanent. Its the luck of the draw I only had 3 partners when I got it. Another one of my friends has had sex with 50+ people and has had not one std (that she knows of). So in the end I love your story you are beautiful no matter what comes along.

My eighteen year old sister (who was seventeen at the time) had a pap smear and the results came back ab-normal. We were worried for her for those weeks until they said that she was fine. We were so relieved. Don't give up hope if you have HPV, or if your pap results are ab-normal. Everything will be better at one point.

i have HPV too .. can you tell me that is it safe to concieve while youre infected?
secondly do they gave you any medicines to get rid of hpv?
I dint understand copolscopy but i am happy that atleast there is someone who recovered .. may be theres a chance for us too :)
