Please help --- hpv? |
i have just been diagnosed with hpv. the doctor didnt say much just that i had it and that as me and my husband use condoms there's nothing else i need to do. she also said it didn't mean my husbands been unfaithful. thanks everyone. This site should tell you all you want to know You cant get rid of HPV, its genital warts, you may always have had it our else your husband had it or cheated I have HPV too. Relax. It is not that critical. I discovered I had it after a year I got married and sorry, but there is no way to know who gave it to you since there is NOT a test for males and males dont show any symptons unless there are warts. That means that any person with whom your husband had sex/contact before marrying you could have given it to him/you. Same way with you, because HPV can lay dormant for years with no symptoms. HPV can also transmit with saliva / oral sex. It is an STD, but that is why the doctor said it doesnt mean your husband or you were unfaithful. You will discover that many people has it. HPV is always contagious and it NEVER goes away even if you have a low grade. You need to go to a speciallized doctor (a ginecologist) with a list of questions. General doctor usually are very ignorant about our feelings /information with HPV. HPV has a risk of transmission to babies, but only if there are warts at the moment of delivery.
