Is it bad to have sex with your girlfriend in between HPV shots?

My girlfriend is starting her HPV shots soon. Someone told me it was bad to have sex during this period. Is it true, and if so, what can happen if we do have sex?

If she has HPV then I wouldn't but I don't think that is bad. You should ask a doctor, he would know for sure.

Ideally, you want to give these vaccines BEFORE the girl becomes sexually active. So if you haven't had sex yet, you really ought to wait, or you will defeat the purpose of the vaccination.

If you have already had sex before and are totally monogamous, then it's a moot point and you might as well carry on becuase it won't make a difference.

About 70 to 80% of all adults have HPV right now, and most get it during their teens and very early 20s.

Gardasil protects against 4 strains of HPV that cause 90% of genital warts cases and about 70% of cervical cancers. But the key here is that the vaccine protects against strains she hasn't caught yet. So if you have already had sex, she's probably already caught whatever HPV you may have had (most people NEVER show symptoms and eventually clear it naturally by their immune systems).

The series of shots takes 6 months, so if you haven't had sex yet, you need to be patient so she gets the fully proetction from the vaccine. And she will still need to protect herself from other infections, too, so a condom will be necessary. Pap smears will also be needed.

PLEASE even though she had her first shot don't slack off using a condom, there are so many strains of HPV she was most likely vaccinated against the one strain they found a vaccine for.
Please Don't think shes immune, have a great time but be Smart about it !!! PLEASE<PLEASE<PLEASE use a condom!! Ok she got the shot and thats great but theres still so many dieases out there. HIV, AIDS to start with is fatal. Herpes which is uncurable, CMV stays in your body forever,Syphilis can make you go Crazy if dont catch (literally). Gonorrhea drug resistant throat Gonorrhea. Chlamydia.
USE CONDOMS!!!!!!!
The vaccineprotects about 70% of HPVs
So its OK to have sex betweenshots if you USE CONDOMS
This was to inform you of all the riskes any one is takeing

depends on what number hpv disease or if she is just taking the shot to prevent it or to prevent cancer or she has a certain hpv virus you can expect genital warts, or genital herpes in as little to a month to 6 months

no, you can have sex its safe i just finished my cycle of shots it is completely safe to have sex, unless she has genital warts which i doubt because theres no cure if you already have them the shots is just for prevention.

It's totally fine. The HPV shot is to prevent HPV so they don't give it to people who have HPV it's just for prevention so it is fine to have sex because she doesn't have it.
