Just diagnosed with HPV and need help!? |
I actually found out today that I have HPV I haven't told my mom yet she'll freak but I wouldn't keep something like this from her...I guess thats what you get for dating assholes. And I'm 18 years old. I got HPV when I was 20. I am now 28. It took 2 years to finally go away. HPV is treatable, but I don't think it is curable. Just remember that babies who are birthed through the vaginal tract can pick up HPV. Well the good news is that most HPV infections are self contained and will go away in a couple of years on their own. The bad news is that as a virus, there is no cure for HPV (although if you have any visible warts, they can be treated). Make sure you remain up to date on your pap smears so your heathcare provider can monitor the situation to make sure it does not become more serious. |
