Ok... HPV... negative test... but.....? |
okay this is really reaslly embarassing but, i had about 5 little warts alltogether around my thighs and in between my legs, not onmy vagina but around it.. only about 5 TINY ones, so i went to see a doctor,.. she said they looked like "regular" warts.. how the hell can that be? how can warts show up down there if it isnt a disease? anyway, i got a papsmear, and my HPV test came back negative... 3 warts went away i have 2 tiny ones now... but its weird.. at very random times.. it like will get a little bigger, and turn red (usually they are just my skin color) and it will hurt to the touch, then a few days later it will go back down to regular size and just become small again.... You had an HPV test, you need to get a test for herpes. Some HPV tests only test for High-risk HPV types , not low-risk HPV types. It is the low risk-HPV type that causes the visible warts that you are talking about. Therefore your HPV test will come back negative even though you have the warts on your thighs. Visible warts (Low-risk type) have very, very low probability of turning into something sinister, so therefore some tests don't test for them. If your doctor told you they look like common warts wish is regular warts, and you took a test and came back negative then I would say you dont have anything of the sort just get the warts on your thighs and between your legs treated! If you are really freaking out about this just go back and check for all std's , plus hiv/aids!!!!!!!!!!! To make perfectly sure you dont have anything! |
