Very confusing HPV?

I have recently found out I have HPV. My girlfriend went to the doctor Befor I found out That I have HPV and got a pap smear. She went back to the doctor they told her she just has a minor yeast infection and alot of bacteria down there....The doctor said I have a genital wart. Weve been having unprotected sex for about 8 month i was wondering can her doctor be wrong?? and does the aldera cream work good? I got the wart frozen off but there was a couple mroe under my foreskin i got the cream for how long will itt ake?

Aldara treatment should be given for about 16 weeks to have complete resolution of genital warts. Your partner could have the virus as well, but she may or may not ever have an outbreak of genital warts.

Your girlfriend may want to ask her Doctor about the Gardasil vaccine, which protects against many of the strains of HPV.

if you have HPV, so does she. couples share the virus.

aldara cream works b.c it makes the warts go away but then it also prevents them from coming back. your immune system will fight this.
