HPV Shot Question?

Ha ha, this may totally be a stupid question but I seriously do not know. I am going to get my HPV Shot at the doctors next week, but I am just wondering where exactly they shoot you. Is it like in your private parts or is it through the arm or whatever. Im really curious. Thanks!

I thought that too! :) I'm glad I'm not alone.
Its just in your arm. Good Luck. :)
First & second shot don't hurt, just the third.

I've had all 3 of them.

I would strongly suggest that you don't get this shot.
Do you realize that women aren't the carriers of HPV it's actually men who pass it on, so use protection if you're going to have sex.
Do they even know the long term effects of this shot on the female body?
They are giving this shot to girls as young as 9, that's really horrid to do to the female body.

Seriously, I strongly suggest that you don't get this shot.
Do some research before you let anyone put chemicals into your body, you do have the right to refuse you know

Nutritionist, your politics are blinding you to reality.
There is some controversy about the HPV vaccine, most of it from folks that think girls shouldn't have sex and, apparently, that there should be a death penalty for doing it.
HPV is a fairly minor sexually transmitted disease, one strain happens to cause a cervical cancer that is often fatal and always catastrophic. The vaccine prevents the this strain of HPV disease and consequently the cancer doesn't happen.
Because the virus is endemic - many people have it - it's important to give the vaccine to girls before they become sexually active: it is not useful to try to prevent a viral infection after you have it. This is not some diabolical scheme to abuse young women or girls, just a necessity of the epidemiology of HPV.
And men are not the problem. This is a sexually transmitted disease... how could men be the sole vector? Men catch it from women and women catch it from men. Women get the cancer but men don't... however this doesn't make men somehow wholly culpable.
The belief that vaccines are some sort of nasty chemical is nonsensical. The vaccine has material that stimulates the body's natural immune system so that if you get actual HPV virus in your body then your body naturally destroys them.
The vaccine has been given to thousands of young women and older girls, with very very few problems.
Please keep your hysterical political rants to some place where they won't potentially kill women. Thanks.

It's a vaccine, so it will be given on top of the arm. Just relax, and it will be okay.

Remember it's a 3 shot series, so the 2nd shot will be 2 months later, and the last one will be 6 months later.

before i got it i thought it was in ur privates but its not.
its in ur arm. but u have to go like every four months for a year to get it tho.

In your arm, it might hurt a little afterwards. You will need to get 3 doses of the vaccine. The third one seems to hurt the most.

they put it in your arm

its in the arm, it will be sore for a couple of days after
