Help!!this is urgent- HPV vaccine severe side effect chances? |
today, I got the first dose of the HPV vaccine, and I did some research afterwards and read that it causes so many severe side effects in many people (up to 8000 reported incidents), such as paralysis, infertility, genital warts, seizures, heart attacks, degrading immune system, and death. I'm extremely worried right now, so I'm not getting the second two doses, however, I was wondering what are the chances of actually having one of those side effects? Also, would it lessen if I didn't get the three full doses? There are a LOT of us in the healthcare field working very hard to get Guardasil pulled. The research is shoddy at best and it is the very first vaccine of its kind so we don't KNOW what this stuff will do to women in 5, 10, 20 years. One option it to quit having sex... then you just don't need the vaccines at all and you won't have to worry about all the other icky diseases that the vaccine wouldn't protect against? If you are worried about the side effects of the vaccine, they are relatively few, 8,000 includes everything from a headache to infertility. With the high rate of HPV infection, if you are under 30 and having sex it is probably a good idea to get the next two doses. If you did not have a bad reaction to the first dose, it is even less likely you will have a reaction to the next 2. For more information on the specific vaccine and it's safety check out this link to the CDC(center for disease control). ive had my first shot, and im not due for my other ones yet. Honestly, the only reason to even consider getting the HPV vaccine is if you sleep if a lot of men who are potentially carriers of the virus, as this is the only way to contract it. I'm extremely against this vaccine, to me it sounds like an experiment on girls/women. But, to answer your question, if you're a healthy female, then your chances of getting a reaction is slim. Talk to your health care provider if you're concerned. My PCP wanted me to get the vaccine, and I told her no and how I felt the drug was unsafe for women, and she said that was fine that it was completely up to me. This vaccine doesn't protect women against the many other forms of cancer that women are MORE likely to get.... Why don't they vaccinate the boys/men who are the ones passing this virus on? |
