i am going to get an hpv shot in about two hours and i have some questions. I just got mine done today. The Gardasil Vaccine protects against 4 strains of Human Papillomavirus that are known to cause cervical cancer. HPV is an STD (the only one that causes cancer) that is very common amongst young, sexually people, especially on college campuses. It is injected into your upper arm (deltoid), just like most shots.
