Have you gotten all three doses of Gardasil HPV vaccine? (wrong section I know)?

how old are you and how did you react to it? Aren't you scared of the long term effects such as infertility/cancer etc.? I got my first dose and I'm freaking out right now.

yeah i did it all...if im infertil then i will adopt butthat doenst mean its because of the vaccine, and that pretty much says it protects u against 4 cancer causing virus types of the 100 HPV...which were only those 4 because they are the most common...n e ways...i think its good...i freaked out before but then i realized i have nothing to freak out about because so far nothing is wrong with me...seriously..if iget cancer i wont blame it on the vaccine...eventually everyone gets cancer because of the odds of cell mutations and what not...it just depends on what age u get it at...granted some might not because they died from something else before they developed a cancer...mutated babies...what kindof sense does that make...if u read the little pamphlet it tells u exactly what the vaccine is made out of...which isnt n e thing outa the ordinary stuff ud take other than that vaccine itself...which basically does what the other shots uve had at the doctors does...since it is a vaccine against a virus just like ur shots u got as a kid and not cancer....it doenst protect u from cancer for the girl above, it protects u from the 4 types of strains of the virus HPV which can lead to cancer and genital warts...i mean i got it a while ago...in the first year it came out and im still fine and healthy...i get routine check ups and all plus more usually...i get hurt often and ive always gotten sick a lot since i moved to a bigger city area...i mean others can still wait to see the side effects that can pop up but from my personal experience there arent n e side effects yet if threre would be...and i doubt there will be in the next year or 2 as things dont just pop up super fast with everything being in tip top shape since it was done.

I'm 18 and I got all three doses. The only side effect I had was a lump at the injection site. It's a bit painful, but all you have to do is massage it out. So, it's not that big of a deal.
And yeah, I was freaked out when I got my first dose too.
But, it's worth it in my opinion. Sure, it's a new drug, but every vaccine was new at some point. And if it can protect me from cervical cancer, I'm willing to risk it.
HPV is becoming more common and more of a problem every year. I know of two women who have gotten it just this year. They both have very different backgrounds and current positions. HPV doesn't single out any one group of people. Anyone can get it.
Plus, there are no cases of infertility that have been recorded to my knowledge. And no cancer either. Gardasil protects against it. It also protects against certain kinds of gential warts which is a plus for sexually active women. Being married, I don't really have to worry about that part, but you can contract HPV from toliet seats. There are different kinds of it, but you can actually get it from toliet seats. So, I consider the vaccine completely worth it.

I wouldn't get it yet because it is a fairly new vaccine and they are still trying to see what the sidde effects are. My mom was going to make me get the vaccine but she was watching the news and they said that you shouldn't get it just yet. Wait another year or two. Also, it is about 400 dolars for all three vaccines. Good luck!

yes i got all 3 of my doses. i got one in december, one in january and the other in march. i got all 3 of them when i was 16 and for me the only side effect was that the area of the vaccination got swollen and a dark reddish color but that's it. i personally don't think you have much to worry about.

ive gotten 2 outa the 3 shots. and i am almost 16. i don't have a problem with shots so i was ok with getting it. mine bled more than most of my shots do and it kinda hurt the next day (my arm) cuz it was on my muscle. so just take an easy for a few days and it will be all good.

It prevents HPV and some strains of HPV cause cancer. So getting the vaccine should no thave you worried about getting cancer. You should talk to your physician and check out their website.

Apparently the drug is not proven to work.
The vaccinations are painful and expensive.

Get them if you want, but don't let those silly 'Everything I can' adds fool you.

Good luck :)

Girls, don't let the drug companies experiment on you. This vaccine is too new. As far as long term effects, I guess you will find out later, hmm?

Haven't got any. My dad would be pissed off, for reasons you've mentioned and more.

idk what they are soz

i have all three done, im 14 =D
nope. i mnot worried. its just a needle and some vaccine!
