Why did i skip my period? can The HPV vaccine (Gardasil) be the reason why?

im 16 and ive had my period for 3years now. ive NEVER skipped a period.. im 2 weeks late and i know for a fact that im not pregnant because ive never had sex..

Generally, the HPV vaccine doesn't affect your period. Are you stressed out about anything, is anything bothering you? That can absolutely cause cessation of menstruation, or irregularity.

How about nutrition and exercise? Are you eating properly, you're not one of these pre-anorexic girls, are you? Or, are you an exercise aficicionado (fancy word for freak)... constantly exercising? My point is that women athletes sometimes have issues with their period disappearing for a while.

So long as you feel OK, I'd say to not worry for a bit. Sure, you'd been regular, but you are young and things do change. If, after a month or two, you don't have a period, or if you have any health changes or issues, you might want to schedule a visit to the gynecologist. If it will be your first visit, worry not... it will be fine. Really. :)

the same thing happened to me, but i dont think its anything to worry about. the reason why i think this may have happened is because when we recieve the vaccine our body is busy trying to build up immunity to prevent HPV from happening, so our body is sort of "under stress" so are periods become delayed.
Thats just how i see it (i might be wrong lol)

OMG this happened to me too I am 17 almost 18. I was having periods regular until I had all 3 shots and I haven't had my period for 4 months. I am really scared I am not sexually active. I wish the doctors would of said something about this. Alot of women are complaining about this. check out this website. http://www.steadyhealth.com/Gardarsil_sh...
