Can you only get HPV by having sex? |
If so, then since I am a virgin I don't need Gardasil, right? do you ever plan on having sex? the idea is to be prepared for later. even if you marry someone who is a virgin, he could carry it - it could have been passed on from his mother in the birth canal. it is a good vaccination to get - my daughter (10) has had 2 of the 3 shots to be immunized - my other daughter is only 8, she must wait another year to start, but I will do it for them. Hope this helps. well Gardasil is used to help prevent getting HPV. Yes you may be safe now because you are a virgin, but will you be a virgin in 2 years, 5 years, 10 years? Its all about trying to prevent it, I would get it anways because it is a good idea. I would rather get three shots and resduce my chances og getting HPV or Cervical Cancer. If you ever plan on having sex it's better to get the shot and be prepared especially since it is a series of 3 shots over a period of 6 months. It's always better to be prepared and to protect yourself. higher probability says... no, u cant get it from ur mother. |
