I just found out my girlfriend have hpv with no warts, somebody help me?

can i catch it from her? and if so can i get rid of it?, can she get rid of it?

does she have low-grade or high-grade, and no you cant get rid of hpv it stays in your system the rest of your life. An yes you can catch it from her... Always use safe sex and dont do unprotected sex with her cause you could contract the virus . And always remember condoms are fully protecting you , sometimes they have small holes or they break easily. So be very careful. But I would tell your girlfriend to start taking a multiple vitamin with iron, eat fruits , and veggies and yogurt plus tell her to drink 8 or more glassess of water each day. It could make the virus disappear totally out of her system, but this only happens in a great while with females. She gots to have a good immune system inorder to do this.

Your girl friend was probably diagnosed via a positive Pap smear and a positive HPV test. This means that the virus is on her cervix. Her Pap found abnormal cell changes of her cervix. There is no FDA approved screening for the vulva鈥ust as there is no FDA/DNA screening for the male.

This link will tell you all you need to know about cervical cell changes.
Understanding Cervical Cell changes

They are over 100% HPV types. 30+ affect the genital and oral area. These 30+ HPV types are divided into two categories low risk (types rarely seen in cancer) and high risk HPV types (types that are seen in cancer). Low risk HPV generally develop as visible warts of the genital area鈥ut you can carry low risk HV types with no warts.

Most people carry the virus with no signs or symptoms. It is common for a male to carry the virus and never show any signs of a wart.

If you have had sex you most probably share her HPV type. Some studies say the chanced of acquiring for your first sexual experience with someone who has the virus is about 60%. Once you acquire an HPV type you can鈥檛 ping pong it back and forth. http://www.thehpvtest.com/HPV-for-men-FA...

Condoms may help in the regression of the virus鈥o it may help her and you if you use condoms until she has two clear Pap smears.

There is no cure for the virus however most people do build immunity to their shared HPV type. Your doctor will monitor her cervix and he will treat cervical cell changes if he feels it is needed.

Condoms help in the regression but do give 100% protection against the transmission of the virus.

Learning more about the virus helps...along with a healthy life style always helps the body build good immunity...so limit stress, alcohol, exercise, get good sleep, limit sex partners...a good mulit vitamin might help..

I wish you both well.

Genital HPV cannot be entirely prevented by condom use.

HPV can be contracted from one partner, remain dormant, and then later be unknowingly transmitted to another sexual partner
