Need a colposcopy after abnomal pap and HPV...why do biopsy if everything looks ok?

I have a colposcopy next week planned for abnormal pap and positive HPV. She said even if the colposcopy looks fine she will biopsy because of studies she has read.I find this unneccasary.Do I still do the biopsy?

Absolutely. That is the only way to test if you have malignant tissue samples. You had an Abnormal pap she is just being sure that you don't have cervical or colon cancer. If caught early that biopsy will save your life. I would want it done.
