Do I have HPV if I have...

Hello!

I have a plantar wart on my foot and it's the only wart on my body and this is my firstt wart... ever.

Do I have HPV is I have a plantar wart?
No, I don't go to public showers, I don't wear shared shoes, I change my socks.

I use a Plantar wart remover that involves salicylic acid that you stick on the wart and you cover it with a cushioning pad. And it says to "repeat this procedure every 48 hours".

My question is: Do I have to wear the same patch for 2 straight days, then get a new one? Even when I take a shower, do I still have to wear the patch?!

The brand is Top Care Plantar Wart Remover System (it's a yellow box with green)

All warts that occur on our body are of the large family of Human Papillomvirus types.

Warts that occur on the hand feet areas not genital are not of the 30 or so genital HPV types.

Plantar warts are of HPV types 1, 2, 4, 63

Genital HPV types are 6, 11, 30, 42, 43, 44, 45, 51, 52, 54,16, 18, 34, 39, 42, 45, 31, 34, 30, 34, 39, 40, 53, 57, 59, 61, 62, 64, 66, 67, 68, 69

I am not sure what the direction are for the wart removal system you are using.

HPV is usually on your genitals or in your mouth. Not sure about Plantar Wart removal.
