Question about the transmission of hpv?

my gyn noticed some "suspicious" bumps on my inner labia. she said that, due to my sexual history, it would be odd for me to have something such as genital warts/hpv, and that those bumps could just be something normal.

now, i was wondering about the transmission of hpv. my boyfriend and i have never cheated on each other, and we lost our virginity to each other. i haven't done ANYTHING sexually with anyone else, but he has. only with one other girl, and it was hand stuff (fingering, hand job, etc.).

could that practice (hand stuff) have transmitted hpv? or is it only through sex or genital contact? can stds be spread in these ways? or is it very rare/unlikely? i'm asking because if i had hpv, it would have been from him, but the circumstances seem highly unlikely, since he had only done hand stuff before being with me.

please answer, and thanks in advance.

***believe me, he hasn't cheated on me***

yes, i'm sure that's all he's done with anyone else. like i said, the gyn said the tiny tiny bumps were "suspicious," and she wants me to see her in a couple of months to make sure it's not anything bad.

It's rare that hpv was tranported to you through his hand. Anything can happen though, so I would just keep and eye on them, not have sex until you know for sure, and go back and see you're doctor and get all the information you can. Usually it's sexual intercourse that will spread hpv, but you never know.

NO. HPV cannot be contracted by what he claims to have done. You need to sit him down and have a serious talk with him about it if it does end up being HPV, because obviously someone lied. It may not be, a friend of mine had the same thing, "abnormal looking cells", they tested them and all was normal.

No He could not get it from a hand job, are you sure that it was all it was
