HPV/Gardasil Vaccine ? Anyone had it ? |
Just recently got my second ,and my arm is badly swollen and painful to move, anyone else had this side effect ? You girls got off easy. My first shot I got in the butt. They said at that time it was the most effective. The 2nd one I go in the arm and the 3rd also in the arm. I got this when it first came out since almost every woman in my family has had cervical cancer. And it almost killed my mom. At the age of 16. Never had sex before I had abnormal cells after a paps test. Its so scary. Anyone who has ever had a life-threatening allergic reaction to yeast, to any other component of HPV vaccine, or to a previous dose of HPV vaccine should not get the vaccine. Tell your doctor if the person getting the vaccine has any severe allergies. Yes, i've had it. Ouch!!! see here: I had spasms in my arm after the third one. It was horrible. I was trying to do colorguard (that flag throwing thing in marching band) and I could not do it. My arm was all puffy and it hurt SUPER bad!!! Yep, don't worry. The second one is the worst. Yes, I got mine a year or so ago. They hurt way more than normal shots, but they beat the heck out of cancer. Yes! I got my first one a few weeks ago, and i'm going back for my second in June! I coudn't move my arm at all. And then my boyfriend thought it would be nice to punch me in my arm, because he knew it was sore. yeah! the second one definately hurts the most. i also got a fever with it. i know it totally kills to have to move your arm, but you should, because it'll increase circulation which will help it feel better. you should also try ice yeah, my arm was a little bit painful and stiff for about a day, but it will probably go away by tomorrow. if not, you should see your doctor. hey I'm supposed to get that vaccine until like a few more months man does it hurt to barley even move your arm !! yes i know. the second one hurts even more!! not sure about the third one because i am still waiting for it!! getting it in a few weeks time!! put ice on it and try to move it around because it does help!! I had it a few months ago and it mad my muscle kind or sore, due to the fluid under it. But swelling up sounds like an allergic reaction, so you should probably ask your doctor. Is that the one to prevent cervical cancer. yer i had the hpv jab 2 times. and my arm was swollen sore and bruised for about the next week well 2morrow im getin my second shot and it just stings idk about it being swollen...never experienced but there shouldnt be any major side effect i asked my doc. Yeah I had mine done a couple years back. Its normal. My arm hurt for a little over a week eveytime I got a shot. I'm not sure why, but its fine. It just sucks. lol Yeah I got it. |
