Does the HPV strain that causes genital warts ever go away for good? |
I hear different answers.. some say it stays in your body for a life time and others say that your immune system takes care of it and it goes away in 2 years. No! It will stay in your body forever... People can be infected with HPV and never show any symptoms. Others will develop genital warts. These warts can stay the same size, grow, or go away on their own. It largely depends on the infected person's immune system. A healthy immune system means your body may be able to suppress the virus and not show symptoms. Okay, here's the truth: Genital Warts, Also Known as Venereal Warts or Condylomata Acuminata, are caused by the Human Papilloma virus . Papilloma Viruses Cause Small Growths (Warts) on the Skin and Mucous Membranes. Infection of the Genital and Anal Regions with HPV can Cause Warts on the Penis, Vulva, Urethra, Vagina, Cervix, and around the Anus (perianal).Don't Even Think About Trying To Remove Your Genital Warts With Unproven, Unnatural, or Potentially Dangerous Approaches uhm, from what I heard once you have genital warts you can get it back at any time? The virus can be suppressed by your immune system after about two years and it wont show up in tests after that. However it could come back after a few years it all depends on the person HPV never leaves your body completely. Your body may take care of the warts, but they can reoccur because you will still have the virus. You live with it forever. |
