How great is the risk of contracting HPV from performing felatio? Geez...HPV is not transmitted by blood like the last person said. HPV is only transmitted by direct skin to skin contact and by sex. Chances are not as high as if you were to have sex with someone who has the virus. But, you CAN still get the virus by giving oral sex to someone with the virus. If the person has genital warts present it's possible for you to even get warts in your throat and mouth, but this is pretty rare. Check out this site for more information: http://std-gov.org/stds/hpv_warts.htm... Source(s): Personal experience. I have HPV. Not very high unless you got bleeding gums or bleeding mouth ulcers. Alli has it right. It's not just an STD its a virus that can but does not always affect the genital area. |
