I think I might have human papillomavirus (HPV).. what are the signs??

I heard that warts on hands and feet are a sign... I have 4 warts on my hands and 2 warts on my feet. I'm still a virgin if that has anything to do with it.

First: Calm down.

Second there are about 24 different kinds of HPV. The ones on your hands are different from the ones on your feet. The one you get in your cooch is the one that *may* cause cancer. You probably don't have that one. the one on your feet are called "PLANTAR WARTS" google that and you can read about them.

But you can catch the other ones just by walking around in bare feet. or picking up something with the virus on it.

Now, here's what you do. Go to the doctor. he will freeze them off. But I understand that there is something in the drug stores now that works really well. it's a freezing/acid combination that you put on the wart.

I had one on my foot last month, i took some freezing spray (you can buy them in electronic stores) and i froze the thing a couple times. (yes it hurts a LOT). the chemical burning stuff in the pharmacy also hurts.

You could also just have warts. Go to the doctor to find out what's causing them.
Dont worry, HPV is only transmitted thru sexual contact and then has to be detected by a PAP smear.
There are on outward signs of HPV in most cases. The strain of HPV that causes genital warts is completely different than what causes warts on other parts of the body. If you're not sexually active, your chances of getting genital warts are slim.

Yes, certain strains of HPV can cause cervical cancer. That's why it is very important for women to have routine pap tests.

i have hpv an i got in back in 97 your private part will break out in little looks like colic flower witch are warts just keep a look out an when u see them go to the doc he will remove them an always have your yearly paps done i had them froze one time bc i got cancer an they have never came back yet nor my husband got them from me so its nothing sick or discusting but i warn you it will hurt when they get removed or frozen take care
