I had a pap smear and a hpv test done in march and they came back normal, then in June i started to bleed alot

and started to bleed after sex and so now they think i may have cervical cancer. I had a dnc and a biopsy done this week and i am waithing on the results. My question is this "was the test done in March wrong or did it just develop that fast?"

The pap only takes a small amount of cells from your cervix. If none of the cells were cancerous or circle cells, then it could come back normal. Good luck and I hope everything turns out okay! ;)
cervical cancer is only caused by HPV, or the human papilloma virus. it used to be thought that it was caused by any of a number of mutations or viruses, but studies have shown that HPV causes over 90% of cervical cancers, so it is practically being considered a sexually transmitted disease anymore.

if you are having unprotected sex with multiple partners. i would be concerned, and i would say that it is a possibility that you have contracted HPV and possibly cervical cancer between march and now. however, if you are monogamous, practicing safe sex then maybe not, especially since your previous tests were normal. i would follow up with yoru doctor and let them answer your questions and run any tests they think are appropriate in order to diagnose you.
