Are they searching for a cure for HPV, or genital warts?

A cure meaning eliminating the hpv virus from the body.

In response to new vaccines that help prevent women from catching HPV strains that cause cervical cancer, there are some pharmaceutical companies that are aggressively researching cures for those who are already infected, and have already experienced abnormal cervical changes. One such company is Advaxis. They have a vaccine currently in clinical trials that is based on the listeria bacterium. The premise is that the immune system creates a strong response to this bacteria, and if applied, would "trick" the immune system into attacking the cancerous cells as well. They are also working on this same technology for breast cancer, and head and neck cancers as well.

I think this only applies to the high risk HPV that can cause cervical cancer, not the low risk strains that cause warts. Source(s): www.advaxis.com
Don't you wish.

It can be prevented ya know!
Sorry to sound curt, but there are so many kids on here that take advantage of sex.
I don't think the hpv virus can be eliminated from the body 100%. I have done so much research on it and didn't find a positive cure.
I know they are doing research on both HPV and genital warts.
As of today, no one sngle virus can be treated including the common cold. All they can do is to supress them. Here are articles about herpes and HPV that are greatly appreciated by many.
