Should i marry a man who has HPV? |
Should i marry a man who has HPV? If you love this person,if i was you, i wouldn't let HPV stop me. One out of three people have HPV, and it is almost getting to 50% of people. Some of the 300+ forms of HPV can cause warts, which are treatable, (actually, compound w will do this, although the package says do not use it for this). Some forms of HPV can cause cervical cancer. On the bright side, cervical cancer is one of the easiest to detect, it is slow-growing, and it almost 100% curable, with a very simple out-patient procedure if detected early. You would NOT be "risking your life" unless you just never have pap smears done. Yes, you could have children with this man. Some recommend c-section for the birth to avoid exposing the baby to HPV. There are many STD websites available for more info. PS: A CONDOM CANNOT ADEQUATELY PROTECT YOU FROM HPV. This VERY common virus lives also in the skin SURROUNDING genitals, so sexual contact using an ordinary condom will not cover these areas. A condom WILL reduce the exposure but a condom can NOT completely prevent the risk of transmission of HPV. If you have sex with someone with HPV, you're bound to contract it, and put yourself at great risk of having CERVICAL CANCER, which is an incurable STD if diagnosed late in the day. Your life is precious. Noone is worth you giving up your life. HPV??? or HIV. hey if u really love that guy. u should. but if the love isn't enough, and u can't risk ur life. then don't. for me if u really love him, u should help him through out his remaining moments in this world. and it will be more special with u. u could have some safety acts to avoid requiring the same disease. for me, if i really lvoe him/ her, i'm willing to diewith him/ her. just as long as i feel that my feeligns are true love and not just pity. sorry if i'm wrong or is it really HPV? If it's HPV and not HIV, then you have nothing to worry about. If he is willing to get his warts treated or at the very least wear a condom, you two can enjoy a very healthy sex life. It may take a few treatments, but his doctor can help him. Good luck! My apologies.....I did not read your follow up text after the short question before I answered. I do not know if it is true, but my doctor told me that it will not adversely affect women aside from (obviously) having genital warts. Like I said earlier in this text, it is possible for your boyfriend to have them dealt with permantly by a qualified professional. This is certainly no reason to sever an otherwise healthy relationship. I highly recommend that you speak to a doctor or planned parenthood personel about this. HPV does cause cervical cancer!!! I do not have all the info, but I advise you to speak to someone who knows- for many diseases there are ways that you can still conceive safely, talking to an expert will clear all of that up. |
