Can Syphillis be transfered by blood? What about HPV? |
Can Syphillis be transfered by blood? What about HPV? No. Neither syphilis or HPV can be spread by blood. The ONLY STDs that can be spread by blood are HIV and hepatitis. Syphilis and HPV are spread by sex (oral, anal and vaginal) and by DIRECT skin to skin contact with the infected area (syphilis sores and warts). They can both also be spread from a mother to her baby during birth. http://www.cdc.gov/std/syphilis/stdfact-... http://www.cdc.gov/std/hpv/stdfact-hpv.h... Source(s): I have had HPV for 6 years. I have had both cervical cancer and genital warts from it. heres a great example of an answer with incorrect information being voted "best". http://www.idph.state.ia.us/adper/common... read that and the other links i left to illustrate my point. Syphillis, yes it can infact be transmitted via blood. HPV, no. Well technically, its irrelevant because it cant cause disease via blood. HPV is an epidermal viral infection. http://www.health.am/sex/syphilis/... http://www.pdrhealth.com/patient_educati... http://www.womenshealthmatters.ca/centre... |
