Are you protected from the four types of HPV after the first shot of Gardasil?

I just had the first shot, and I can find no information on when the protection from the shot is fully active? I mean, are you protected between the first and second shots, or between the second and third, or only after the third shot?
I've searched several pages and have not seen this asked or answered anywhere. Does anyone here know?

It usually requires the full series to ensure innoculation. Individual results may vary but the only way to know that is to have an expensive titer panel run.

There are more than 80 strains of HPV. So even full innoculation doesn't make you fully resistant.

We wouldn't need this shots if people would stay with one partner and stop sleeping around....
