Health Insurance costs for one person-Texas? |
I'm thinking of getting a job that pays a little more but they don't offer benefits. I've never paid for it myself, how much can I expect to pay for decent insurance? I guess I should give more information. I'm a 21 yr old female, full-time student with a full-time job. I don't have any major health concerns but I do want to make sure that if I get sick, I won't be stuck not being able to go to the doctor. I'm not concerned with maternity coverage because I don't plan on getting pregnant soon if ever so I do need prescription benefits to continue getting contraceptives. While you may be able to purchase a policy for $300 per month it will most likely be inferior to your group plan. With tat said you could also get a policy for $100 per month. You can also check out discount healthcare programs as they offer affordable policies. You will have to go to a doctor or dentist that is in their plan so that you will get the reduced fee rate. Compare the rates and coverage to see what is best for you. Go to www.MedicalAndDentalPlus.net to see if the discount program in that location will work for your needs. Remember it's a discount program, not insurance. Your age is good as that is not of age for risks such as heart disease. Take into consideration questions about maternity. It varies between hmos, ppos and different plans and you can choose a higher deductible to save if you don't think you'll go often. It to difficult to guess. There are free on-line rating services that make it easy to get quotes with no obligation to buy I would check out http://www.InsuranceEasy.org they provide several links for these services. It is based on your general health, the coverage, the deductible, and your age. If you're 30 and healthy, it should run you around $300 a month for a no-deductible plan. Maybe You should try to google it first ,however if you like some direct resource ,here might be helpful.http://health-insurance.expert-tip.info/... |
