I'm pregnant and I don't have insurance. What would be my best option other than Medi-Cal for health coverage.

I will be a single parent, I'm working but in temperary standings,
I need some help finding the least expensive health coverage, can anyone help?

Access for Infants and Mothers.
Life saving program (i'm assuming you're in California as you referenced Medi-Cal)
They base your cost on your income, with my husband and I's income the entire cost for the whole insurance program was $752, and it covers EVERYTHING
They give you a year to pay so we pay not even $60/month (which will be less for you as a single parent) and its regular insurance, you can still go to any provider of your choice.
When you apply it costs $50, if you dont qualify because your income is too low, they will forward your application to Medi-Cal for you and reimburse you the $50.

Good luck and Congrats :)

wow. not the best time for pregnancy....sorry. anyway, get whatever insurance you can. if it's Medicaid, then get it. most insurances will see the pregnancy as a "pre-existing condition", and not insure you for the pregnancy.

sorry to be blunt, but it's the truth. take care of yourself, and eat right, and exercise. good luck.

medicaid. and for labor and hospital charges you can do emergency medicaid google that up.

Why don't you want Medi-cal? It covers absolutely everything. If you'd like to pay though, aim is good.
