Question to Single Men who have health insurance and have a part-time job.? |
After my friend hurt his back while in College, I found out how important it is to have health insurance. I make $9 an hour and I'm in college. My job doesn't offer health insurance. For a young healthy guy I would get a high deductible plan coupled with an accident plan. This way your premiums are low and if you get in an accident the deductible is covered by the accident plan. You could pay around $90 per month or less depending on your location. You could pay less if your drop the accident plan. Ultimately, you are the one who determines the affordability of your health insurance plan by deciding how much you will participate in sharing the cost of your health care with your insurance company. If you're 20 and healthy, health insurance is going to cost you about $200 a month for a low deductible plan. |
