19 Y/O searching for health insurance advice?

I am 19 years old, I will be starting college in late August/early Sept. as a full time student at comm. college. I am not employed and my mother supports me. unfortanatly, she doesn't have health insurance, and most insurance companies claim that she makes too much, even tho she is a single working mother. i used to have united health care child plus but when i turned 19 it ended even tho i was a student.

I was wondering if anyone had any advice on what i should do in my sitatuion, any websites, etc. thanks in advance!

Since you are young and hopefully healthy then you can purchase a good health insurance plan for very cheap if you shop around.

You can probably find a plan for about $50/month just make sure that you choose a well known and trusted company like a Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Healthcare, Humana, Aetna, etc. and stay away from scams like discount cards and coupon cards.

The key is to compare quotes from at least 3 different companies in order to find the best rate. Here is some more information on finding a cheap student health insurance plan:
