Why can't I drop health insurance at work after my divorce.? |
Have not received the paperwork from the court You have to talk to your work about that. They won't let you drop your ex until after the divorce is final. YOu will have to give them some papers saying it is over. Or you will have to wait until the open period when you can add or drop anyone. At my work thats January & Feburuay. You will have to ask your work when the open period is. once you get the paperwork saying you are divorce you can drop insurance- marriage, divorce, birth or death are reasons to add or drop insurance! Talk to HR! If you used a lawyer, your paperwork is probably sitting in his/her office. Call and get a copy to show your work. you need to talk to your work about this and show the divorce papers so they can stop it!!! if the wife is unable to take care of self then oh well |
