What's the best, affordable health insurance company?

I'm in college, so I don't work. Therefore, I need health insurance, and I'm paying 191.00 per month for BlueCross! Is there any better out there? Please help! I live in Florida, 26, healthy.

In the state of Florida there are quite a few affordable health insurance companies. The trick is that not every company has cheap rates in every county and for every age of applicant.

The key is that you will want to compare FL health insurance quotes from at least 3 different companies before you buy and then make sure you compare quotes every 6 months as well.

That's outrageous! Basically, if you are healthy, you need insurance for emergency purposes. Unicare is what my son used. You can pick your plan. He picked one with a very high co-pay, because he wasn't needing to run back and forth to the doctor, but needed to insure himself for some incredible disaster. Hospitalization, etc. His monthly premium was 49.00 per month. That was only about 3 yrs ago.

Try www.esurance.com my son got a great rate from them with Aetna after he graduated from college and while he was looking for employment. It was only 49.00 per month and paid doctors visits with a 20.00 co-pay as well as prescription co-pay of 10.00.
