I got question about state health insurance plans. How expensive are they for employees? Are they quality? |
I got a job, I think, which has state a health ins. plan. I'm wondering what people think about these plans. Also dental. I'm in Indiana and our state insurance plan is based on income, which makes it much cheaper than just acquiring private insurance. However, if you're employer is going to pay a portion of the premium, I wouldn't think it'd be based on income. I do not believe our insurance plan has dental, just the essentials for people who wouldn't otherwise have coverage. Sorry I don't know more about Texas specifically but I hope this helps a little? I assume you mean that you're going to work for the state. Depending on the options you choose, the plans are great, and very expensive - for the taxpayer footing the bill. You won't be paying much for them at all. |
