To qualify for Health Insurance, I have to work at least 30 hours, but my boss cut my hours. Any help? LOL! Everyone says find a new job! That's not feasible most of the time. If your employer has 20 or more employees then they will be required to offer you a COBRA group continuation plan that will last at least 18 months. If you were already on the health insurance plan, and lose eligibility because of hour reduction, your employer must offer you COBRA. You would have to pay the whole cost yourself. Find a new job. Find a new job. You can't make your boss give you more hours, or you can't make him change the plan to allow part timers health coverage. Search health insurance and get some quotes, talk to a few agents. Contact a LOCAL broker in your state. If you visit a website, make sure they are located near you...not one that is 1000 miles away. |
