CHIP health insurance.........? |
I need to apply for CHIP health insurance for my new born. She is a preemie and needs coverage now because she is still in the hospital. In order to apply for CHIP i need her ss# which I dont have yet. How do I apply now? Or how do i get her ss# fast? I would make sure that you have your child's birth certificate in hand and then call your State's CHIPS 800 # and ask them what they would advise. Are you on Chips? If so call your case worker can get the baby on the program. Most likely will want proof of the baby, maybe a crib card and any hospital papers you got. I would call your case worker for all the details. |
