Which health insurance carrier covers government employees?What are the terms?What are the premiums?Who pays?

Can Tony Snow's coverage or any other government employee's coverage be terminated or can their doctor prescribed procedure be deemed by the carrier to be too costly and refused to be covered by the carrier?

In other words, do government employees have to put up with the same unethical, unscrupulous, unconscionable, Capitalist, beaurocratic poor decision making because of the profit-before-people quotient (CRAP) that all other Americans endure from insurance carriers?

Who is this insurance company that government employees deal with and is this same insurance coverage available to every other American citizen?

Kaiser is not for profit and it has been accused of wrong doing. Just because an organization makes a profit it does not make the organization bad.

The government uses around 15 insurance carriers.

It all depends on where in the US, you are a Federal Employees, as to which carriers you can choose from.

Blue Cross/ Blue Shield
Athena
Cigna

etc

Thier polices have the same rules that most employee offered policies have.

The government pays approx 80% of the policy cost and the employees pay 20%.

Basicly, the policies are just like the insurance policies offered by most larger corporations.
