Health insurance? What do you do if you cannot afford to pay the premiums?

Am i doomed?

I am self employed. i would have to borrow the money each month to pay for the premiums. Would you borrow the money.? if they would accept creit cards i would do it, but they do not. what do i do?

Your best bet is to find a pool of the self-employed who purchase group insurance at rates lower than the individual rates. It isn't easy to find them, but they exist. You'll still probably have to do with catastrophic coverage (a very high deductible) and manage as best you can for routine episodes of health care.

Then I guess your insurance will be cancelled. Really, think about it in another way. Do you see the doctor a lot? Do you think you could afford a trip to the ER? Do what you can to keep your insurance. You need it more than you think.

Go to ehealthinsurance.com to search for some. That is what I did about 2 years ago. I got myself and my son covered. To cover my husband was to expensive. We pay about $250 a month. Good luck.

No, you are not doomed.

Melaleuca offers increasing, additional income with the same amount of time spent working each month. They also offer affordable health insurance and prescription drug benefits.

Check with your company (I assume the insurance is through work) and see if they offer another plan. You could cancel the insurance, but that is very risky.
