My employer cancelled health insurance without telling us...?

but they're still taking premiums out of my paycheck...is this illegal? What can I do beside demand my money back?

Maybe - if the employer prepaid the premiums, say, for May, and doesn't collect them until June, then he can still take out the premium for the month that he's already paid for.

Any complaints, would be made to your state department of labor.

But start looking for a new job. If he can't make health insurance payments this month, next month he'll have a hard time making payroll.

Health Insurance is a benefit of employment not a right. It will be a right if Obama is elected. So will the choice of employers to take more jobs overseas. If he collected premiums from you and did not deliver, he might owe you back premium.

It looks like you feel really screwed up by this problem. Hope you may found helpful here.http://health-insurance.onlinebestoffer....
