How to get a shrink if you don't have health insurance? |
hi all. i have been going through a lot lately, mentally and emotionally. i feel like i'm going to lose it if i don't get some help soon. does anyone know if there are any programs or shrinks that help people with no health insurance? i live in california, in the san fernando valley. It's great that you are looking for help! I was in the same boat and found support from an agency that offered counseling. They also got me connected with other places for financial assistance. Go to www.nmha.org and that will get you started. They also have a crisis line if you need it. Best of luck to you! Check with the public health department. I am not going to say I am one hundred percent sure about the answer.Besides it really depends on the personal feelings.SO it would better for you to find yourself. Here is a good resource.http://health-insurance.expert-tip.info/... Look in your phone book for the County mental health clinic. All counties should have one, and they should operate on a sliding fee scale, which means they will only charge you what you can pay. Often excellent services as well. most support groups depending on what you need one for , offer some form of counseling...and its free advice and therapy as well |
