Can I have multiple health insurance policies? |
I currently have a high-deductible personal health insurance plan. I work as an engineer for a small company (under 10 employees) and we're finally getting a group policy. I'm worried that if I was serious injured/ill, I would be unable to work and my health insurance would end. consult this site, I found it while browsing the internet. It is an auto and health insurance company. Some, but not all, insurance companies have a contractual clause that prohibits you from having multiple policies, and the ones that don't, will not "coordinate benefits". It's probably not going to be an an issue for you. Well, you can keep it, but YOU don't get to pick which one is primary. Usually, the costs outweigh the benefits. Sure , as long as you don't try and file a claim under both plans at the same time. |
