Health insurance required for work?

Do any of you guys know if you need to be covered by health insurance to get a job? Is health insurance required to work? Thanks!

--the job is at forever 21. i worked there last year and had insurance but i just turned 19 and my plan does not cover me anymore.

Though there may be some jobs that are going to require you to have insurance coverage, that鈥檚 not usually how it works. Most people actually get their health insurance coverage through their employers. If your employer doesn鈥檛 offer health insurance benefits, then you can apply for and purchase a health insurance plan on your own.

The best way to do that is to work through a licensed agent who knows the options available in your area. It doesn鈥檛 cost anything extra to work through an agent, and you can find some online, too. I work for a company called eHealthInsurance.com and at our site you can get quotes from a broad selection of health insurance plans in your state. You can compare plans side by side to find the right match and apply for coverage online. If you want to talk with one of our licensed agents, give us a call at 1-800-977-8860.

Good luck!

Absolutely not. If you are injured on the job then workman's comp will cover your expenses. There is a large segment of the American population that is uninsured, yet they are working! Also if you are full time you should be able to get insurance through Forever 21. Ask about their rates and how good the coverage is. They should have an employee packet which would cover all of that.

the don't have to require you to carry health insurance. They be trying to get out of carrying worker's compensation coverage.

How much do you like your job??? Time to see the labor board.

Thankfully, NO! I have never seen this as a requirement for any employer.

BUT I do suggest that you get some kind of coverage on your own. Otherwise, you will be literally screwed if an emergency does occur.

No, you don't need insurance to get a job. However you should get an individual policy anyway,

No. Employers do not require you to provide your own health insurance.

Never heard of such a requirement.
