If I think I may have a disease and want to get health insurance? |
If i get insurance and then go in right away will they be able to void the policy? If so how long would i have to wait? I have yet to go to the hospital. All insurance companies will view this as a pre-existing condition. They consider pre-existing conditions as a condition that you've received medical treatment, consultation, or advice, or that a "prudent person" would seek medical treatment, consultation, or advice. The fact that you're asking this question means you are a prudent person and so the policy would be rescinded. Many pre-existing conditions can be covered after 6 - 12 months if you disclose the condition, depending on your state. However, many questions they ask on the application go back 5 to 10 years. If you HAVE a disease, go in, get health insurance, and go back in, I don't think that's allowed. You need to be healthy for a like a month or something before the policy is legit. Or else, when someone had a disease, they'd go in, get health insurance, go back in, and so on and so on. Try this one - http://healthplans.my-age.net - I personally have their health insurance.
