Help with Health Insurance, looking for someone who has worked in the health insurance field?

I have battled health insurance now for 2 plus years trying to get a surgery approved. Since Jan 1st, 2008 now i have been with my health insurance company. They have denied my surgery on the normal bullshit of "medically not necessary" etc... Though after a few months and some research i think that the company made a error on my denial letter. They stated i have had bilateral hernia repairs? bilateral means 2 or two of, and repairs mean more than 1 lol. I am in the process of having my doctor write me a letter and I am going to just send this in along with my complaint letter. Do you have any suggestions?

~~You must have your doctors office justify the medical necessity of the surgery. They are trained to do this, and the terminology on medical terms is not the same as the definitions you have given.

This is done all the time in physicians office. Give them a copy of the reason your procedure is being denied and they will be able to work with a case manager with the insurance company to correct it.~~

Why are YOU battling the insurance company, that is your doctor's job.!. Unless your doctor contacts them,. you will never get anywhere with them. Doctors do this all the time.
It's all in the diagnosis code and procedure code. Wrong code? Hell will freeze over before you get an approval./

insurace companies Suck hard care.

particularly medical insurance.

It's like what am i paying 200 bucks a month for???

My suggestion is trying to absorb as much information as you can before making up your mind, here http://www.HealthInsuranceIdeas.info/fre... is a good one.
