I need Health Insurance!?

I live in Wny and I have my hernia surgery on may 11th. I have no health insurance and i tried the healthily NY and i was $19 over!

Iam a full time student going to college working a minimum wage job just barely making it( can't cut my hours)(car insurance, gas for car, food, rent, phone, books for school and i have a savings account that iam trying to save some money for my Future) Healthily NY told me all that iam available for is univera which would be $210 a month!

What happened to the plans between this?
I cant do health insurance threw my employer. I make$23 to much for fidellas. Healthily NY i was $19 over. but i have to pay $210 a month just because i cant get the free stuff.

Someone please tell me what I should do.

here you can get quotes from different companies in your area, this way you can find the right insurance for you.

This is the problem of our society. Sad to say, but even if you could get health insurance right now your surgery would not be covered because it is a pre-existing condition. Insurance companies will not pay out for problems you knew you had before you go insurance (it's like crashing your car and then trying to get car insurance on the way to the body shop).

Don't you have insurance through your parents or school? most universities offer a cheaper health insurance plan to students who may not have any.

Good luck.

$210 is about the going rate for a low/no deductible plan.

If you can't do health insurance through your employer, you need to find a different job. Or maybe school needs to go on the back burner for a while, so you can work two jobs. Or, you'l just have to have massive medical bills to pay back, after you graduate. On the bright side, they'll likely be less than your student loans.
