What are the Pro's and Con's of Short-term Health Insurance?

Well to be honest the question is a bit vague. I would say that if you do not get insurance and you have to pay out of pocket, then the only way short term would benefit someone at all is getting them though a short period of a non serious illness. (hence pro being short term cost to solve solution, con would be it would work on nothing that last "long term"....
